Member Company

The common good economy is based on the conviction that the urgent challenges of our time - from resource scarcity to the climate crisis, from the loss of biodiversity to the widening gap between rich and poor - can only be solved holistically and systemically.

Theater Festival Isny e.V.

The theater festival Isny is a fix date in the Allgäu cultural landscape with a broad spectrum, many facets and a unique family atmosphere. In 1983, the first theater festival in Isny was happing. Over three decades later, not only has the tent gained in size: the small gathering of street theater companies has become a renowned festival of diversity, combining nine-day events in the circus tent with a diverse and exciting workshop program. Every summer, Manege is free for hot new discoveries, renowned artist personalities and exciting sounds from all over the world - all embedded in the wonderful scenery of the Allgäu nature.

Opera Festival Isny

For 30 years, artistic director Hans-Christian Hauser and his team have been able, with a great deal of idealism, to present the art form of opera in Isny and, year after year, to give talented young singers the opportunity to artistically develop stage parts and to perform on open-air stages in front of a historic backdrop in Isny - as well as for many years in Kempten and Munich and, since 2012, also in Stuttgart.
In this way, the project was able to develop into a small but fine festival that has been given its permanent place in the festival landscape within the framework of the festival criteria of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of  Arts.

Hilfe für Herat (Help for Herat)

MCU supports a small association that grew out of a private initiative:
Aziz Rahimi was born in Herat, but has been living in Germany for 31 years. He still has close contact with his family, which has remained in Herat. During his regular visits to his old homeland, he personally hands over donations in kind (food, school supplies, etc.) for an orphanage that houses 250 children (mostly war orphans). The orphanage also includes a school where these children are educated. Another 150 students are placed with foster families. All 400 children are fed at the school. However, the orphanage with its school does not receive any government support.

On 24.09.2017, the association "Hilfe für Herat e.V." (Help for Herat) was established with the hope to be able to expand the support through this association foundation.
The goal of the association was recognized by the tax office Wangen as a non-profit organization, so that tax-deductible donation receipts can be issued.
The help will also be delivered personally in the future, without the intervention of another organization.
