Preventing Collisions before they happen

EWS COP increases safety on your machine

In series production with CNC machines, high maintenance costs often arise due to collisions.
Collisions are characterized by machine parts colliding with each other or tools colliding with machine parts.

One of the main causes of these incidents is incorrect input of correction data or errors when re-entering the NC program after an interruption in production.
This is precisely where EWS COP (COP = Collision Prevention) comes in.

Incorrect data is automatically determined in the background with minimal manual data maintenance.
The modified data is compared and evaluated in an industrial computer (EWS COP BOX).

No time-consuming parallel precalculation of movement data!
Monitoring is based on the modification of data from which the machine's movement data is generated:

  • Tool correction after tool change
  • Zero offsets
  • Correct re-entry after program interruption
  • Traceability through logging of entries and releases
  • Easy to implement (currently Siemens 840D SL and Sinumerik ONE, others to follow)
  • Low work, data and computing effort
